DJ Kubanito (aka Karlos Reyes) started playing Cuban music several years ago at different local events such as the Car Free Festival on Commercial Drive, the Car Free Festival on Main St., the Autumn Shift Festival on Main St., Canada Day celebrations on The Drive, as well as other private parties and events. Very soon his love for Cuban music and his endless search for the latest in Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton and other Latin music styles made him a re-known DJ in Vancouver and the U.S. Below is a list of some of his current and past events:

  • Resident DJ and co-organizer of Havana Fridays at Mangos, a weekly event in Downtown Vancouver that runs every Friday of the year since 2015.
  • DJ and co-organizer of Fiesta Habana, a monthly event at D2 Studio (2012 to present)
  • Seattle Cuban Dance Festival, Seattle, U.S. (DJ at the 2024 edition)
  • DJ and co-organizer of Havana Night, a monthly event at Dance Vancouver Studio (2022 to 2023)

  • DJ at the Summer Salsa Cruises Series (resident DJ from 2012 to present)

  • Salsa Rueda Festival, San Francisco, U.S. (DJ at the 2019 edition)
  • Vancity International SBK Festival, Vancouver, Canada (DJ at the 2019 edition)

  • Vancouver Cuban Music Festival 2014 (official DJ for this 4-day event held at Performance Works in Granville Island)
