CLASSES for WINTER 2012

Beginner Class 
No experience necessary. Singles and couples welcome. This will be your introduction to Cuban Salsa. We will start with the basic steps, at first in a line but soon you will be using what you have learned in the circle-formation known as a Rueda. We will quickly progress to passing followers from one leader to the next, to turns and to moves such as Vacilala, Casate, Sombrero, etc. The basics of Merengue, Bachata and other Latin steps are taught during warm-up.

Intermediate 1 Class
Singles and couples welcome. In this level you will add to your list of Cuban Salsa turns and combinations, and concentrate on timing and footwork. Lessons are taught in the circle-formation known as a Rueda. The basics of other Latin steps, such as Bachata and Reggaeton are taught during warm-up. Note: To join this class you must have completed a beginner CUBAN Salsa course. Cuban Salsa is very different from other styles so experience in Cuban Salsa is required for this level. If you are not sure what style you know, contact me to discuss before registering for this class.

Intermediate 2 Class
This class is for those who have completed the Intermediate Level and are already familiar with Rueda moves like Vacilala, Casate, Sombrero, Setenta, La Ye, Pelota, La Prima, La Rosa etc. In this class, you will learn some complex variations of these moves, such as Casate y Complicate, Sombrero Complicado, Setenta y Complicate, etc. as well as moves involving 2 couples.

Advanced Class
This class is for those who have completed the Intermediate 2 Level and are already familiar with Rueda moves like Casate y Complicate, Sombrero Complicado, Setenta y Complicate, Combinacion 2, Combinacion 3, Dile Que No Como Es and moves involving 2 couples like New York. In this class, you will expand your repertoire and learn moves such as A lo Cubano, La Ye Complicada Doble, Malanga and El Salao.
